Who We Are
The Wisconsin Indigenous Housing & Economic Development Corporation (WIHEDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing economic prosperity and housing opportunities for Wisconsin's Tribal Nations and Native communities.
Through statewide collaboration, technical assistance, strategic partnerships, and initiatives such as the Wisconsin Native Housing Coalition and Native Business Hubs, WIHEDC works to strengthen Tribal economies, expand access to housing and capital, and build financial sovereignty for Native individuals, families, businesses, Tribal Enterprises and communities.
What We Do
Working together, WIHEDC's Members collaborate and leverage resources to maximize access to loans, training, and counseling to best serve the enrolled Members of the 11 Federally recognized Tribes in Wisconsin – both on and off-reservation communities.
WIHEDC's Members collectively bring millions of dollars to Wisconsin Indian Country from corporations, foundations, and government programs to deliver our continuum of loan products and capacity-building technical assistance.
